What’s Happening in 2010
2010 brings the implementation of E2SHB 2284. For 2010,
- Curricula, training hours, and testing requirements and policies remain the same for all caregivers.
- The SEIU Healthcare NW Training Partnership (Training Partnership) takes over the delivery of training to all Individual Providers providing care services to Medicaid consumers.
- Adult family homes and boarding homes may still provide basic training to their own caregivers, send them to a DSHS approved community instructor for training, or the Training Partnership.
- Home care agencies may choose to use the Training Partnership, a DSHS approved community instructor, or go through the approval process to become a DSHS approved community instructor.
