This website is a repository for information regarding ADSA’s role in implementing changes to Washington’s long term care worker training system resulting from E2SHB 2284 and Initiative 1029.

What’s Happening in 2010

2010 brings the implementation of E2SHB 2284. For 2010,

• Curricula, training hours, and testing requirements and policies remain the same for all caregivers. 
• The SEIU Healthcare NW Training Partnership (Training Partnership) takes over the delivery of training to all Individual Providers providing care services to Medicaid consumers. 
• Adult family homes and boarding homes may still provide basic training to their own caregivers, send them to a DSHS approved community instructor for training,  or the Training Partnership.  
• Home care agencies may choose to use the Training Partnership,  a DSHS approved community instructor,  or go through the approval process to become a DSHS approved community instructor.
