Cost Reimbursement for Skilled Nursing Facilities
Skilled nursing facilities (SNF) may obtain reimbursement for nursing assistant training activities on a quarterly basis. Reimbursement is made at the Medicaid reimbursement percentage for their facility in effect at the time of the request. Included are instructions for submitting a reimbursement request including the forms to be submitted.
The following policies provide guidance in determining appropriate training reimbursement:

| Prorated portion of equipment purchases under $750 used for NA training. | Portion of equipment purchases under $750 used for other purposes. |
| Equipment & supplies expended during training or owned by the student after training is completed, i.e. gait belts, text books, thermometer sheaths, etc. | Staff time used for other purposes, i.e. employment interviews prior to training, in-service training preparation, background checks. |
| Staff time used for NA training activities. |
