MDS TRAINING—REGION 1
Dear Nursing Facility/Home Administrator:
This letter contains important information for facility staff responsible for completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments.
Residential Care Services will be providing a 2-day MDS training session this fall, Back to Basics: MDS 2.0. The target audience for this session is staff new to the MDS process or those who have not attended any MDS training sessions or those needing a refresher. The course will cover MDS assessment types, MDS item coding, significant change of status, error correction and RAPs.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their RAI manual for reference.
Date: Wednesday and Thursday, October 1 & 2, 2008
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Sacred Heart Medical Center-Providence Auditorium
(Auditorium is on W 9th Ave & Rockwood Blvd)

All Sessions:
- The trainings are free of charge.
- Pre-registration is highly recommended.
- Sign in will begin ½ hr prior to starting time.
- Parking is available on the street (metered) or in the lot off McClellan Street.
- No food or beverages will be provided but a coffee shop is available at the Medical Center.
- A certificate of attendance will be presented at the conclusion of the session.
- A map to the location is enclosed and also accessible on the ADSA website.
