2008 NH "Dear Administrator" Letters

AMENDING CHAPTER 388-97 WAC

Dear Nursing Facility/Home Administrators and Interested Parties:

The department recently filed the Proposed Rule-Making CR 102 for the amendments to Chapter 388-97 WAC, Nursing Homes.  The purpose of these amendments are to update references to reflect current standards, codes and federal requirements; add language on electronic monitoring; and renumber and make WAC sections four digit numbers for clearer order and reference.

We are now in a more formal phase of the rule-making process, so any comments that you have must be shared either in person at the public hearing or in writing to the department’s Rules and Policies Assistance Unit (RPAU).

The formal hearing for the proposed rules is scheduled:
