Boarding Home Provider Training - Region 1
Dear Boarding Home Provider:
Residential Care Services (RCS) will offer Boarding Home (BH) provider training on the revisions to WAC 388-78A and WAC 388-110. The training will provide an opportunity for you and RCS regional staff to review parts of the new licensing inspection process and also provide clarification and information on the revisions to the boarding home regulations.
Your training session is scheduled as follows:
DATE: August 4 and 5, 2004
HOURS: 9:30 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.
CITY: Spokane
LOCATION: Sacred Heart Medical Center – 20 West 9 th Avenue, Spokane
A map to the location is enclosed for your convenience.
- The training will be held in the Providence Auditorium.
- The training is free of charge.
- Pre-registration is not required; a sign-in sheet will be available upon arrival.
- Parking is free on the upper level lot on a first-come, first-served basis and paid parking is available on the street.
- Coffee/food will not be served and you may not eat or drink in the auditorium; however, there is a cafeteria on site.
This training session will be held in lieu of the Regional Quality Forum. RCS will continue to hold the regional forums throughout the year and I encourage you to attend as often as possible. HOURS: 9:30 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.
CITY: Yakima
LOCATION: Yakima Masonic Temple Center – 510 N. Naches Avenue, Yakima

- The training will be held in the banquet room.
- The training is free of charge.
- Pre-registration is not required; a sign-in sheet will be available upon arrival.
- Parking in the large lot at the rear of the building is free and plentiful.
- Coffee/food will not be provided, but is allowed in banquet room. There is no cafeteria on site, but restaurants are located 3 blocks away.

CITY: Shoreline
LOCATION: Shoreline Community College – 16101 Greenwood Avenue, Shoreline

- The training will be held in the Theater Auditorium.
- The training is free of charge.
- Pre-registration is not required; a sign-in sheet will be available upon arrival.
- Parking is free.
- Coffee/food will not be served and you may not eat or drink in the training room; however, you may eat in lobby outside of training room. There is also access to a cafeteria on site.

The training will provide an opportunity for you and RCS regional staff to review parts of the new licensing inspection process and also provide clarification and information on the revisions to the boarding home regulations.

DATE: August 12 and 13, 2004
HOURS: 9:30 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.
CITY: Olympia
LOCATION: Office building # 2 – 14 th and Jefferson St. Olympia

- The training will be held in the OB2 Auditorium.
- The training is free of charge.
- Pre-registration is not required; a sign-in sheet will be available upon arrival.
- Parking is located in Natural Resources parking area at a cost of .50 cents per hour. The ticket box is located in the center of the lot and takes quarters and one-dollar bills only.
- Coffee/food will not be served and you may not eat or drink in the auditorium, however, there is a cafeteria on site.
