WAC 388-78A - BOARDING HOME LICENSING RULES

Dear Boarding Home Provider:

Residential Care Services, Aging and Disability Services Administration (ADSA), has been working for nearly three years with a broad representation of stakeholders to revise the boarding home licensing rules, chapter 388-78A Washington Administrative Code (WAC). A draft of the revision was distributed on October 28, 2002 and posted on the boarding home (BH) rules revision web page for public comments. ADSA received comments from multiple sources and carefully reviewed and considered each. Subsequently, ADSA revised the draft rule and has now formally a CR 102 filed with the Office of the Code Reviser including proposed amendments to WAC 388-78A.

The proposed amendments will be published in the Washington State Register on February 19, 2003 under number 03-03-018. A hearing on the proposed amendments will be held in Blake Office Park, 4500 10th Ave. SE, Rose Room, Lacey, Washington 98503 at 10:00 AM, on March 11, 2003, at which time the public may comment on them. You may also submit written comments no later than 5:00 PM on March 11, 2003 to:

DSHS Rules Coordinator
Rules and Policies Assistance Unit
PO Box 45850
Olympia, Washington 98504-5850
