SUBJECT: FUNDING NEW TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Dear Boarding Home Provider:

This is a reminder that new training requirements for Boarding Home providers and staff become effective September 1, 2002. These new requirements are outlined in WAC 388-112.

To fund the state pay portion additional expense of implementing these training requirements the department is adding $.09 to the daily rate for all levels of care.
The additional revenue produced by this rate increase is expected to fund the Medicaid share of training costs.
