PROVIDER EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS – REGION
1
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
In an effort to enhance communications with providers, Residential Care Services (RCS) will host educational sessions for providers and regional RCS staff during the months of May and June 2004. Information generated from your responses to surveys, attendance and input at regional forums, and meetings with RCS staff exploring communications issues has been very useful to the department and has provided the inspiration for these sessions.
The sessions will provide an opportunity for you and RCS regional staff to hear expectations from headquarters staff and to hear best practices in communications from your peers. The sessions and guidance will provide clarification regarding interactions and communications with RCS staff during re-inspections, complaint investigations and throughout the year.
Your session is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12, 2004 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Spokane County Extension Ed Building, 222 N Havana Street, Spokane, WA 99202.
For a map to this location, go to www.aasa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/rcs_training.htm
These education sessions are being held in lieu of the planned Regional Quality Forum.
Seating is limited to current adult family home staff. Please carpool, as parking is limited.
I am hopeful that you will fully participate in this session with the RCS regional staff. This opportunity for communications and sharing information will help you know what to expect during RCS visits to your facilities and throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Patricia K. Lashway, Director
