WAC 388-76-655 - AFH LIABILITY INSURANCE

Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

Enclosed is a Notification of Proposed Rule-Making (CR102) for amendments to Chapter 388-76-655 WAC Adult Family Homes General Management and Administration. Current rules remain in effect until the amended rules are filed as permanent. We will notify you prior to the time these rules become effective.

Amendments to the selected section of the WAC chapter remove the liability insurance requirement from the rule. The proposed amendment is the result of the increased problems that adult family homes have experienced meeting this requirement. The Adult Family Home (AFH) liability requirement was originally included in the WAC chapter in 1996 at the request of AFH providers.

The proposed amendments will be published in the Washington State Register under 03-10-090.

A hearing on the proposed amendments will be held as follows:
