SUBJECT: DISCLOSURE OF EMPLOYEE INFORMATION

Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

This letter is to provide you with information about changes to Revised Code of Washington 74.39A.210, effective July 7, 2001. These changes provide employers in the long term care setting immunity from liability when disclosing, in good faith, a former or current employee's information to a prospective employer. The disclosed information must relate to job performance, reliability, or any illegal or wrongful act committed while caring for a vulnerable adult. A copy of the statute section is enclosed for your convenience.
