AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
Nurse Delegation Program - Accessing Interpreters for ND Clients
RNDs with a DSHS contract for nurse delegation (ND) services may need interpreter services to communicate with a client currently receiving ND services, or with a new client not yet receiving nurse delegation. Sign language interpreters may also be necessary when working with clients and caregivers with a hearing disability. The processes described below are paid under Medicaid, and as such are only available to Medicaid clients in WA State—not to clients receiving services from any other payment source.
The links below include a Powerpoint basic training on the RND’s responsibilities for the processes and conditions in place to access interpreter services, and a link to the brokers currently under contract with HRSA to provide these services.
