Family Caregiver Resource Kit

There are two ways to get this kit:

1. Order a Caregiver Kit by phone or email. Call Aging and Disability Services Administration between 8 am and 5pm, Monday through Friday at 1-800-422-3263, or send and email to
   KorteLM@dshs.wa.gov. Make sure to include your name and mailing address.
2. Read the materials online.

• Brochures
  • Family Caregiver Handbook (PDF) A guide for family and other unpaid caregivers who care for an adult or senior with disabilities.
  • Do You Know Someone Caring for an Adult? (PDF) Informational postcard designed to help spread the word to anyone you know caring for an adult that he or she is not alone and help is available.
  • Family Caregiver Support Program – Helping Family Caregivers in WA State (PDF)  brochure explains the services and resources available through the Family Caregiver Support Program.
  1. Hiring Family or Friends as Your Caregiver – A Guide for Adults Needing Care  booklet offers practical tips and suggestions to help an adult work successfully with a family member, friend, or neighbor hired to provide care.
