Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants Self Study

Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants Self Study is a 9-hour self-study course preparing a nursing assistant (registered or certified) to perform a task as delegated by a registered nurse. The self study uses an instructional video and workbook. Once you have completed the self study, you must pass a written test.
A nursing assistant (registered or certified) must take this course before performing a nurse delegated task. There are strict training and professional requirements about what a nursing assistant must complete before performing a nurse delegated task.

Other caregivers that are not nursing assistants (registered or certified) can also take this course for Continuing Education credit. You would not be able to accept any delegated tasks until you meet all training and professional requirements.

Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants: Special Focus on Diabetes

Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants: Special Focus on Diabetes is a 3-hour self study that is the first step in preparing a nursing assistant (registered or certified) to perform insulin injections as a delegated task.  Nursing assistants must have successfully completed the 9-hour course above before taking the Special Focus on Diabetes training.

Once you have completed the self study, you must pass a written test.  Once you pass the written test, you will take the next step in preparing to perform insulin injections and work one-on-one with a RN delegator.  The RN delegator will provide hands-on skill training and supervision related to performing an insulin injection.

Other caregivers that are not nursing assistants (registered or certified) can take this course for Continuing Education credit. This does not include any hands-on training with the RN delegator. You would not be able to accept any delegated tasks until you meet all training and professional requirements.
