CR-101 FILED – AMENDING CHAPTER 388-78A WAC

Dear Boarding Home Administrator:
You recently received a letter informing you of the passage of Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill (E2SHB) 2668 during the recent legislative session. The department will be amending Chapter 388-78A Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Boarding home licensing rules, adding new WAC sections to implement E2SHB 2668. This new law became effective on June 12, 2008.
The department is also considering amending WAC 388-78A-2730, Licensee’s responsibilities; WAC 388-78A-3150, Statements of deficiency regarding plans of correction (POC); WAC 388-78A-3200, Progression of enforcement remedies; and other related sections concerning POC. The intent would be to clarify and simplify POC requirements.
The department has filed the enclosed CR-101 (WSR 08-10-061) with the Office of the Code Reviser to begin the rule-making process.
