Proposed Amendments to WAC 388-78A

Dear Boarding Home Provider:

In a recent letter, ADSA BH #2005-005, dated May 18, 2005 you were notified of the department’s intent to amend Chapter 388-78A WAC – Boarding Home Licensing Rules.  On October 4, 2005, the department filed proposed amendments to Chapter 388-78A WAC under Washington State Register number 05-20-079 with the Office of the Code Reviser.

You may view the proposed amendments on the DSHS Rules and Policies Assistance website at http://www1.dshs.wa.gov/msa/rpau/102-05-20-079.html.  If you do not have access to a computer, you will need to identify a computer resource in your community, such as the public library or school.  If you need further assistance in acquiring this information, call (360) 725-2592.

A public hearing on the proposed amendments will be held as follows:

If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit your written comments on the proposed amendments to WAC 388-78A.  Comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2005.  Send your comments to:

The department intends to adopt proposed amendments to WAC 388-78A by December 8, 2005, with an effective date of January 8, 2006.
