SUBJECT: Revision to BH Interim Guideline #29

 

Dear Boarding Home Administrator:

This letter will provide you with information related to two changes regarding Interim Guideline #29, Advance Directives, End of Life Choices.? Both of these changes are effective immediately:

1. Providers will no longer be required to provide materials regarding advance directives and emergency care as a routine part of the reinspection process.
2. Boarding Home Interim Guideline #29, dated October 16, 2000, is revised.? Please remove Interim Guideline #29, dated October 16, 2000; replace it with the enclosed revision dated February 9, 2001.

The revision to question 5 is the only change in Guideline #29 dated February 9, 2001
