AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
September 6, 2000
AASA BH 2000-019
Dear Boarding Home Providers and Interested Parties:
Aging and Disability Services Administration (AASA) is in the early phase of a
multi-year project to revise the boarding home licensing rules (Washington
Administrative Code 388-78A). At this time,
we are beginning the process of discussing how the licensing rules could be
improved. Staff has met with a variety of stakeholders to obtain their ideas
and suggestions. AASA will hold a public meeting to report on the status of
the work to date, and:
- To summarize the comments received thus far,
- To allow the public to comment on the ideas presented, and
- To invite suggestions regarding the process of amending the rules.
A meeting has been scheduled for:
Date: Monday, September 18, 2000
Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Place: Auditorium of State Office Building II
14th and Jefferson
Olympia, Washington (directions enclosed)
You are invited to attend this meeting. Additionally, it would be appreciated if you could help inform other interested persons about this meeting, such as boarding home residents, residents’ families, boarding home operators and staff, and other interested parties.
If you have questions, you may call either Denny McKee at (360) 725-2590 (e-mail at mckeedd@dshs.wa.gov), or Lori Melchiori at (360) 725-2589 (email at melchl@dshs.wa.gov).
