AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION

AASA: BH #2000-018
SUBJECT: INSPECTION REPORTS
Dear Boarding Home Administrator:
This letter is to inform you that, effective October 15, 2000, there will be a change in the process of the licensing visit. Currently the Inspection Report is left with you at the end of the licensing visit. After October 15, 2000, the Inspection Report will be mailed to you within 10 working days after the licensing visit. The Department is doing this to ensure consistency in these documents. The Field Managers will review the Inspection Report before it is mailed to you.
We are also in the process of evaluating a pilot project that has occurred in one of the Regions. This would combine the Inspection Report and the Statement of Deficiencies into one document that captures the information gathered by Department staff.
If you have any questions about this process. Please contact the Acting RCS Regional Administrator in your area.
Sincerely,
Patricia Lashway, Director
Residential Care Services
