SUBJECT: REVISED INTERIM GUIDELINE #20 LIMITED
NURSING SERVICES IN BOARDING HOMES

Dear Boarding Home Provider:

Interim Guideline # 20 regarding Limited Nursing Services has been revised to clarify:

• The different requirements for providing Limited Nursing Services in a private-pay boarding home and a boarding home with an Assisted Living contract with the Department of Social and Health Services.
• The difference between “limited nursing services” and “continuous skilled nursing care and supervision” found in a nursing home.

Enclosed is a copy of the revised Interim Guideline # 20 Limited Nursing Services.
