FINAL AMENDMENTS RELATED TO FEES IN CHAPTER 388-76 WAC

Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill (E2SHB) 1935 became law effective July 26, 2009.  Highlights of this law included an increase in the application processing fee and the annual license fee for adult family homes.  In July 2009, the department filed an emergency rule CR103E for these changes to Chapter 388-76 WAC. 

The department also filed a CR101 to begin the permanent rule adoption process to comply with the new law.  In September 2009, the department filed the CR102, a more formal phase of the rule making process including a public hearing.

RCS recently filed the final “Rule-Making Orders CR103P” for the amendments with the Office of the Code Reviser.  The amended and new WAC sections are enclosed; they will become permanent effective November 14, 2009.
