2009 AFH "Dear Provider" Letters

FORMAL PHASE OF AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 388-76 WAC
Dear Adult Family Home Providers and Interested Parties:
In July 2009 the department began the rule-making process to amend requirements in Chapter 388-76 WAC Adult Family Home Minimum Licensing Requirements, including:
- Consolidating terms plus adding a new section (WSR 09-15-156); and
- Editorial & clarifying changes, as well as making it consistent with current laws and standards (WSR 09-16-101).
Recently the department filed the CR 102s, a more formal phase of the rule making process.
The two CR 102s, including draft rule language, are enclosed for your convenience and are
also available on the ADSA website at http://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/afh.htm,
under the heading, “AFH Rule Filings”.
You may submit any comments either in person at the public hearing listed below or in writing to the department’s Rules and Policies Assistance Unit (RPAU).
The formal hearing for the proposed rules is scheduled:
