2009 AFH "Dear Provider" Letters

FORMAL PHASE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 388-76 WAC

Dear Adult Family Home Providers and Interested Parties:

Earlier this year the Governor signed Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill (E2SHB) 1935 into law, effective July 26, 2009.  Highlights of this law included an increase in the application processing fee and the annual license fee for adult family homes. 

In July 2009, the department filed an emergency rule CR-103E for these changes to Chapter 388-76 WAC with the Office of Code Reviser.  The department has also filed a   CR-101 to begin the permanent rule adoption process for the fee/s issue.

Recently, the department filed the CR 102, a more formal phase of the rule making process.  The CR 102, including draft rule language, is available on the ADSA website at:

You may either submit any comments in person at the public hearing listed below or in writing to the department’s Rules and Policies Assistance Unit (RPAU).  The formal hearing for the proposed rules is scheduled:
