CR 103E (EMERGENCY RULE) FILED AMENDING CHAPTER 388-76 WAC
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
Recently the 2009 Legislature passed Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill (E2SHB) 1935, which the Governor signed into law. It becomes effective July 26, 2009. Highlights of this law include:
- An increase in the application processing fee and the annual license fee.
- A provision for those adult family home providers who complete the University of Washington School of Nursing geriatric certification program.
There is not enough time to complete the regular rule making process since the law becomes effective in July 2009. Therefore, the department has filed a CR 103E (Emergency Rule) with the Office of the Code Reviser that will become effective July 26, 2009. The filing will be posted on the Rules and Policy Assistance Unit (RPAU) web page at http://www1.dshs.wa.gov/msa/rpau/recentlyadoptedrules.html as soon as it is available.
In addition, we have filed the enclosed CR 101 because we are also required to complete the permanent rule adoption process for the amendments.
If you have questions, please contact Maureen Lally at (360) 725-3204 or via e-mail at lallyma@dshs.wa.gov.
Thank you for your continued commitment to long-term care residents of our state.
Sincerely,
Joyce Pashley Stockwell, Director
Residential Care Services
