FINAL AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 388-76 WAC
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
In August, October, and November 2008 Residential Care Services (RCS) informed you about three separate rule making actions to clarify requirements and correct grammar in sections of chapter 388-76 WAC.
RCS recently filed three final Rule-Making Orders (CR-103s) for all of these amendments with the Office of the Code Reviser. Some sections are amended, some repealed, and in a few cases, requirements are separated out making new sections. The rules will become effective February 13, 2009.
The department shared draft rules with the Adult Family Home Advisory Committee and posted the draft rules on line for access by interested parties. Hearings on the proposed rules were held November 25 and December 9, 2008. All comments were considered.
The “Rule Making Orders” (CR-103s) and the adopted rules are available on the ADSA website at: http://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/afh.htm under the heading, “AFH Rule Filings”. The enclosed table summarizes which sections are amended, newly added, and repealed.
When the codified rule language for all the amendments is available, you will be able to read and print out the updated chapter on-line here.
