2008 AFH "Dear Provider" Letters

March 11, 2008

ADSA:  AFH #2008-006
Amendments to Chapter 388-76 wac - AFH Minimum Licensing Requirements

Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

The department has adopted due process rules into Chapter 388-76 Washington Administrative Code (WAC), which will become effective March 17, 2008.

The new WAC sections spell out due process rights for individuals associated with the adult family home alleged to have abandoned, abused, neglected, exploited, and/or financially exploited an adult family home resident.

Attached is a copy of the “Rule Making Order CR-103” and the new WAC sections.
We encourage you to share a copy the new rule sections with your staff.

When the codified final rule is available, a link will be added to the ADSA Internet, AFH Professional Page, at http://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/afh.htm

If you have any questions please contact Roger Woodside, Program Manager, at
(360) 725-3204.

Sincerely,

Joyce Pashley Stockwell, Director
