ADULT FAMILY HOME ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
The Adult Family Home Advisory Committee members have been appointed to the Committee.
The 2002 Legislature established the Adult Family Home Advisory Committee to ensure a cooperative process among the department, adult family home provider representatives, and resident and family representatives on matters pertaining to the adult family home program. The Committee is composed of nine members representing the adult family home industry.
I would like to inform you that I have selected the following individuals to fill the positions on the Adult Family Home Committee for 2008 and 2009:
- Steven Andrews - Affiliated with recognized AFH association
- Craig Fredrickson - Affiliated with recognized AFH association
- Dorina Ilisan - Affiliated with recognized AFH association
- Maria Jumanca - Provider
- Suzanne Moore - General authority law enforcement agency
- Aaron Mountain - Affiliated with recognized AFH association
- Nancy Pearson - Statewide Resident Council program
- Harmon Powers - Families
- Any Thomas - Affiliated with recognized AFH association
- Paul Tosch - Long-Term Care Ombudsman program
- Vacant - Consumers
I am pleased to announce that we received nineteen nominations for highly qualified candidates for this position. The decision of choosing these individuals was not an easy one. I would also like to thank all of you who had an interest on serving on the Committee and your desire to improve the lives of the residents in adult family homes in the state of Washington.
You are welcome to attend the Adult Family Home Advisory Committee meetings here in Lacey. The 2008 dates for these meetings are: February 14, May 8, August 21, and December 4.
