REGION 1 Emergency Preparedness Training
Dear Long-Term Care Provider:
Residential Care Services (RCS) is pleased to announce training sessions about emergency preparedness and developing emergency response plans for adult family homes, boarding homes and nursing homes. This training has been developed together and in cooperation with:
- Washington Department of Health;
- Adult Family Home Association of Washington;
- Washington Association of Housing and Services for the Aging;
- Washington Health Care Association/Washington Center for Assisted Living;
- Washington State Residential Care Council; and
- Local emergency management officials.
We invite you to attend the session in your region. Some of the information and materials presented in the training may be specific to the unique needs in each geographic region.
The goals of the training are to assist you (long term care providers) to:
- Understand potential threats to your facilities;
- Understand what actions you may take to mitigate potential disasters;
- Understand the issues to consider in developing an emergency response plan; and
- Know how to contact your local emergency management officials.
Region 1 includes the following counties: Adams, Asotin, Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, Garfield, Lincoln, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, Whitman. As a provider from one of these counties, your training is scheduled for:
