Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
The Department is in the process of reviewing, and updating as necessary, the adult family home (AFH) licensing rule, chapter 388-76 Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Please plan to attend the stakeholder meeting in your region or e-mail us with your input. (The e-mail address is listed on the enclosed CR-101).
2006-2007 AFH Rule Update Project
The Project goals are to:
- Simplify language,
- Eliminate the “question and answer” format,
- Reorganize and renumber the chapter for easy reading,
- Clarify issues that have been brought to the attention of the department, and
- Update the chapter to meet recent changes in the law.
Project Start Date
The Project begins at the Adult Family Home Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for May 11, 2006.
Provider/Stakeholder Meetings
We have scheduled a meeting in each state region to provide the opportunity for discussion. We want to know what is working for you and what is not; what is confusing or unclear and what you think might help to make the information in the WAC easier to find. The department will review and consider all information collected at these meetings.
