AMENDMENTS TO Chapter 388-76 wac
                                                           
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

Enclosed is a Rule-Making order (CR 103) for amendments to Chapter 388-76-WAC Adult Family Home Minimum Licensing Requirements.  The rule making order was filed with the Office of the Code Reviser on August 22, 2005 and will be published in the Washington State Register (WSR 05-17-158) on September 21, 2005.

The purpose of amending this rule was to correct name and address changes; correct outdated statute and rule references; consolidate all definitions into one section; and repeals obsolete sections.

This amendment brings the licensing rule up-to-date with changes to Chapter 70.128 RCW made during the 2002 and 2004 legislative sessions.  The proposal also makes amendments to be consistent with other rules, and consolidates information for ease of reading.

The rule becomes effective on September 22, 2005.  A link to the final rule will be added to the ADSA Internet at http://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/afh.htm.
